I'm looking for some company on weekend rides thorough the summer in the Kenora area. Our cottage is on Branch Road #3 off Storm Bay Road approximately 7 miles east of Kenora.
My typical ride on a Saturday or Sunday morning is from the cottage to the intersection of Hwy 17 east and Storm Bay Road. From there it's east on Hwy 17 to 17a and then west on 17a ("the bypass") back towards Winnipeg. I'll re-join 17 east and head back into Kenora for a stop at the Safeway Starbucks for a coffee at the 56km mark. Then its back to the cottage for a total of 74km.
The 17a bypass, while a major highway has a wide an smooth shoulder and early in the morning the traffic if very light.
